The ICOMIA (International Council of Marine Industry Associations) Marinas Group Golden Cleat Award has been awarded to Daniel S. Natchez, President of Daniel S. Natchez & Associates Inc, an International Award Winning Environmental Waterfront Design Company.

 

The award was announced at the gala dinner event during the recent ICOMIA World Marinas Conference in Portugal, and Daniel, who is US based in Mamaroneck, NY, was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his exceptional leadership, advocacy and dedication to the betterment of the world’s marina industry.

 

Dan has been a leading proponent of the industry, with a proactive, unique approach for enhancing the marine environment through meaningful, functional design especially with a view to making marinas more accessible for people with limited mobility. In receiving his award Dan said “I am at a loss for words, and for those who know me, that is rare – a most humbling experience”.

Dan is the first American to win the award and it is only the second time this Golden Cleet award has ever been given out.

 

Dan has also been awarded the title of Certified Marina Professional by the Global Marina Institute, at the time, one of eight in the world and the only American.
